Please be aware that certain unscrupulous individuals have copied the look of our Oyaide AC and IEC plugs and are offering these fake products for sale on Ebay . They have even attempted to replicate the look of our label and have applied it to their counterfeit product.
Oyaide can only guarantee the quality of its product if purchased from an authorized Oyaide dealer. Please understand that while genuine Oyaide products meet UL, PSE and CE standards, these counterfeit articles do not. Your safety is our chief concern.
To identify a genuine Oyaide P-037 or C-037 please examine carefully:
1.) What is the underlying metal? If it's a real Oyaide it will be made from deoxidized Phosphor Bronze
2.) The contacts on a genuine P-037 are polished twice, plated with Silver, polished twice and then plated with Rhodium. The finish will be absolutely uniform, not pitted with varying degrees of dullness. Oyaide's level of quality is difficult to achieve and requires highly sophisticated manufacturing facilities.
3.) What material is the body made of? Is it high density PBT, mixed with 30% glass filler? If not, it will not have the anti resonance properties of a real Oyaide P or C-037 and will have only replicated its shape.While everyone appreciates a bargain, an inferior product sold at a low price will be a pale imitation of the genuine article at best and a potential hazard at worst. You get what you pay for.
